You quilters are one of a kind. After the weather challenges on Monday morning, you still managed to "swim" into the store even before the rain stopped and you worked on selecting fabric and other items for your projects. We were there for you and we are glad you made it in with hopefully no problems. The store was busy on Monday and throughout the week. Despite the economy, it seems like everyone is ready to embark on satisfying their creative desires.
We continually bring in more products, services and classes to help you with your quilting and sewing plans. Rain or shine, we are here for you to help with all your sewing adventures.

 As many of you know, there is a play-off game this Sunday for the Texan's. To support our Home Team, we will NOT be open Sunday, January 15 so everyone can watch the game. Terri decided we would instead open Sunday, February 5 to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday!!
We will have our traditional SUPER BOWL SALE on February 5 and everyone can participate starting NOW. Shop in the store from now through February 5 and for each purchase of $50 or more, you will receive a ticket to get in a drawing that will happen at 5:00pm, February 5, SUPER BOWL SUNDAY! You do not need to be present to win. If you shop on February 5, you will get TWO tickets for every $50 purchase which raises your chances twice as much for being the winner! The person with the winning ticket will receive a "very nice" sewing machine. We have many other exciting ideas for that day so stay tuned for details that we will announce in future emails. Come on in and start collecting your tickets NOW!

 The Houston area Shop Hop 2012 is just around the corner. The participating stores have come up with some great ideas to get your creative juices flowing. The theme this year is "Colors of Hope" and the quilts that will come out of this year's Shop Hop will be stunning. This will be a batik quilt and we can't wait until you see it. It is really beautiful! The stores have ordered special fabric for this quilt through the vendor so you won't be able to get this fabric anywhere else. It's an exclusive batik fabric that will only be offered through the Shop Hop stores. This year, there will not be a general finishing kit offered for the borders, etc. so you will be able to purchase your yardage through the stores to finish your quilt. We will have the border fabric on display so you can pre-order your fabric and then pick it up during Shop Hop. Since it is an exclusive fabric, the supply will be limited so you will want to be first in line to make sure you get what you need! Shop Hop is March 21 through the 24. 9am-6pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 9am-8pm Friday. Put this on your calendar and be ready for the best "Shop Hop"-ing for 2012!

"Sassy Stichin Gals" Embroidery Club
Our next meeting dates are Thursday, January 19, 9:30-12:30, or 1:00 - 4:00, and Saturday, January 28, 9:30 - 12:30 or 1:00 - 4:00. We will be learning the techniques for doing T-shirts and Sweatshirts. Will go over how to center and what stabilizers and threads to use.
